This is a zany musical melodrama produced with help from everyone in the church. Proceeds benefit summer camp scholarships. Youth-only productions are performed every other year.
Honoring Francis of Assisi, the Christian patron saint of animals, the Waverly minister blesses family pets and companion animals of all shapes, sizes and types – from puppies to kitties to ferrets to goldfish to iguanas (Animals must be on a leash or in an enclosure).
Waverly Presbyterian Church is one of the leading participants in the annual walk for hunger in the East End. Donations go toward hunger relief efforts for the Church World Service.
This is Waverly’s largest annual fundraiser. It features a fun and festive evening of elegant desserts and savories, silent and Grand Auction, raffles, craft booths and gift items, live entertainment and more.
Visitors, members and friends purchase boxes to pack with a choice of hundreds of beautifully made Christmas cookies. Quarts of delicious homemade soup (butternut squash, tortellini, tomato basil, wedding soup and more) are also available.
